The James Edward Ross Memorial Foundation was established by the Ross family in 2000 to reinforce the life values of Jimmy. Jimmy suffered from Bipolar Disorder and died on April 9, 2000.
The primary mission of the Ross Foundation is to:
- Assist those suffering from Bipolar Disorder by providing educated support - Provide academic scholarships to CREATIVE students who demonstrate leadership qualities - Conduct research into causes of Depression - Assist research teaching Colleges and Universities with grants to advance awareness of Bipolar Disorder - Elevate the public awareness of Suicide and develop programs to address the underlying causes - Address the psychological drivers of Self Esteem - Reinforce the values of giving, creativity, freedom of thought and the artistic talents of espression e.g. painting, poetry, lyrics, writing and speaking
